The Honor Society of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture has chosen Representative Tanya Pullin to receive its 2013 Outstanding Alumnus Award.
The award, given in recognition of outstanding contributions to agriculture in Kentucky, was presented at a ceremony on March 19 at the ES Good Barn on the UK campus.
“Agriculture is an important part of the economy in my area. I have been pleased to work with the farmers in my district and with the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture,” Pullin said. “Kentucky farmers provide the quality products that improve our lives in so many ways. I appreciate every opportunity I have to make sure they have a strong voice at the State Capitol.”
Pullin graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980. She has represented Kentucky’s 98th House District, which includes all of Greenup County and one precinct in Boyd County, since 2001.
