Lester Smith, 65

Lester H. Smith, 65 of Pataskala, Ohio, went home to his Heavenly Father, Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Pataskala Oaks Care Center in Pataskala, Ohio. He was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Elijah and Virginia Moore Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Ralph Smith and a sister, Sara Gilbert. He is survived by a special brother Dave and wife Jane Smith who looked after him, sisters; Linda and husband Carl Castle of Louisa, Ky., Mary and husband Albert, Rosie and husband Steve, Dottie and husband Gene all of Otway, Ohio, several nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Donnie Kidder officiating. Burial will follow Smith Family Cemetery. Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
