Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church


Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church would like to invite all to come join us for a time of Revival March 24 - 27, 7 p.m. nightly. Evangelist Wayne Runyon will be preaching each night of the revival with special singing. On Sunday, March 24th - Chuck Compton, Monday, March 25th - Walk of Faith, Tuesday, March 26 - Johnny Thornsberry, and Wednesday, March 27 - Common Bond Quartet. The Mount Hope Free Baptist Church


The Mount Hope Free Will Baptist Church on 2132 Clinton Furnace Road is pleased to report we have a new pastor. Pastor Scot Markel has scheduled the Sunrise Service for March 31, which will start at 6 a.m. We will have breakfast following the service. We will have Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. We will be having an Easter egg hunt for the children following the morning services. On April 20 we will have a special service starting at 6 p.m. with special singing by Theresa Jeffries. There will be a family day and fun day cookout and games on May 18, starting at 3 p.m. Please mark your calendar and plan to worship God with us. Everyone is welcome.

McDermott Community of Christ


McDermott Community of Christ will celebrate the fourth Sunday in Lent with a baptismal service and also the blessing of two babies at the 10:45 a.m. worship service. The babies to be blessed are Reed Michael Smith, son of Zachary and Megan Smith, and Blake Aldin Montgomery, son of Shane and Becky Montgomery. Pastor Edward Cable will preside over the service, with children’s ministry by Elder Sandy Cable. Ministry of music will be provided by Wanda Joslin and Barbara Koch will be our pianist. Church school will precede the worship service at 9:30 a.m.. Prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with Elder Michael Orin presiding and the theme by Linda Orin. A free lunch is served at the church every Thursday from 11am to one pm and everyone in the community is welcome.


St. Paul’s Episcopal Church


Susan Erstling of Lucy’s Hearth, will be speaking on behalf of Episcopal Charities, Sunday, March 10, 2019, 9 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Portsmouth. Everyone is invited to attend and support this worthy program.


Lucasville Community of Christ


On Sunday March 10, the Lucasville Community of Christ, Pastor Carolyn Crabtree, invites all to come and worship with us on the 4th Sunday of Lent.


The speaker for this morning will be Priest Tom Greene. He will develop the Theme - Lost and Found, with Worship Service beginning at 10:30 a.m.


Coffee/Donuts served at 9:30 a.m., Sunday School is 9:45 a.m.


Wednesday Night Service - 6 p.m., “Adult Night Out” 3rd Monday of every month 5:30 p.m. This month we will meet at “Toro Loco” in Portsmouth.


First Church of Christ


The congregation of First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, will host a game night at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, in the church basement. Bring your favorite games and a snack good. Drinks will be provided. Everyone is welcome to attend.


The quarterly supper meeting of the KYOWVA Evangelistic Association will be a family event on Monday, March 18, at Howell’s Mills Christian Assembly, 99 Christian Camp Road, Ona, W.Va. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. The program and preaching will start at 7 p.m., and the Gateway Christian Church worship team will lead the praise time. David Stauffer, one of the ministers of Gateway Christian Church, will preach. The offering which will be taken up during the service will go to the church camp. Items again are being collected for Operation Christmas Child, and pencil sharpeners, toys, stuffed animals and craft kits are being collected during March. If you have a question contact Sharon Danzer, drop-off location coordinator.
