A Beaver, Ohio woman has been charged with fourth degree felony grand theft from the bank where she worked.

Lorrie A. Thornsberry, 38, of Beaver Pike Road, is being investigated as the result of a call from her employer.

“On the 21st day of February officers were called to the First National Bank, Beaver Branch, on what appeared to be an employee theft,” Major Jeremy Masters of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office said. “Mrs. Thornsberry was detained, and later charged with grand theft. The FBI was contacted, and later it was determined that our office would be handling the investigation.”

Masters said Thornsberry posted bond the same day she was arrested and was released. The case is still pending through Pike County Prosecutor Rob Junk’s office.

“We are still investigating, looking at probably not this upcoming (Pike County) grand jury, but the next grand jury, because of a pending investigation. It will probably be the April term of the grand jury.”

Junk said Wednesday afternoon a preliminary hearing has been set for March 25, at 8:30 a.m. According to the Pike County Court website, Thornsberry is represented by Chillicothe attorney Jim Boulger.
