Ralph Bradshaw, 92
Ralph Morton “Brad” Bradshaw, 92, of Lucasville, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at SOMC Hospice.
He was born July 22, 1920, in Lucasville, a son of the late Leonard and Flora Caudill Bradshaw.
Brad was a retired automobile salesman at the former Frank Tiedge Ford Motor Company in Portsmouth, a member of Temple Baptist Church in Portsmouth, and a 1937 Valley High School graduate. He was a WWII US Army veteran and was a member of the William A. Baker Post of the American Legion, Lucasville Masonic Lodge, and Gideons International.
He is survived by one son, Dennis (Joyce) Bradshaw of Greencastle, Ind.; one daughter Susie (Jerry) Morland of Pompano Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren Amy (Jamie) Shears, Daniella (Brandon) Powell, Danny (Amy) Bradshaw, and Matthew Blackburn; eight great grandchildren Isaac, Micah, Naomi, Brendon, Daniel, Nicholas, Alexander, and Joshua; one great great granddaughter Layleh Copley; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren in Greencastle, Ind..
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Shelpman Bradshaw, Sept. 12 2012; two brothers, Raymond and Roger Bradshaw; and one sister, Ruth Evans.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Rev. John Gowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park where military graveside rites will be performed by the William A. Baker and James Irwin Posts of the American Legion. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour before the funeral Saturday at the funeral home.
