Time to shred the old boys brackets and replace them with new ones.

More than a week after the 2013 Southeast District tournament brackets were released, changes in dates have taken place that will impact local teams in the lower two divisions. All district games will still take place at their original locations.

First, the Division III Southeast District Championships will be played Friday, March 8 instead of Saturday, March 9. Tip offs will be slated for 6, 7:45 and 9:30 p.m.

With that change, the Division IV Southeast District Championships, which were slated for March 8, will now be played Saturday, March 9. Start times for those contests are approximately 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The switch stems from a scheduling conflict involving Ohio University’s Convocation Center. The Ohio Bobcats men’s home basketball game with Miami (Ohio) was not set until last week because of television availability. That game will have a 4 p.m. start time on March 9.

No tournament games are slated for Wednesday on either the boys or girls draw in the region. Action resumes Thursday night with girls Southeast District Semifinals in Divisions II, III and IV.
