Rosemary Darby, 80
Rosemary Darby, age 80, of Wheelersburg, died Feb. 14 , 2013, at Crystal Care Nursing and Rehab in Portsmouth. She was born Nov. 28, 1932, in New Boston, to the late William Lovell Hook and Alva Dora Chinn Hook.
She was a 1950 graduate of Glenwood High School. She was a former employee of 10 years at Hecks and 8 years at Penny’s. She also was a member of the First Church of God in New Boston.
She is survived by two sons, James Lynn (June) Darby and William Joseph (Shirley) Darby, three daughters, Kathy Sue Spears, Cyndie Lou Longacre and Laura Jane Briggs, one step daughter, Deanna Kay ( Dan) Adams, three sisters, Joanne Lusk, Norma Kiser and Billie Blair, ten grand children, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Wolfe, her husband of 35 years, James Harold Darby, a grandson and a great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. At the HARRISON-PYLES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Floyd Smith officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. and one hour before the service on Monday.
