McBee’s milestone highlights Minford’s 66-39 win

Austin McBee reached the 1,000-point plateau for his career Tuesday night as host Minford won games on back-to-back weeknights with a 66-39 victory over Adena.

McBee led the Falcons with 19 points while Jared McCray finished with 13 and Kenton Gullion chipped in with 11. In all, Minford had 11 people score on Senior Night. The Falcons travel to Oak Hill Friday night for the regular season finale.

Both teams, along with Valley, are tied atop the SOC II standings entering Friday’s action.

Notre Dame 72, Ironton St. Joseph 45

With one game before the regular season finale, Notre Dame had 11 players crack the scoring column with three in double figures as the visiting Titans defeated nonconference foe Ironton St. Joseph 72-45 Tuesday night.

JP Kayser led Notre Dame with 20 points while Kevin Lewis finished with 11 and nine steals and Michael Mader chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Will Haney also added eight assists.

The Titans host Symmes Valley Friday night. Notre Dame is a game behind in the loss column for the conference title with Eastern.

Ohio Valley Christian 55, Harvest Christian 42

Host Ohio Valley Christian proved to be too strong Tuesday night in a 55-42 win over Harvest Christian.

Josiah Hudson led the Warriors with 16 points and Titus LeMaster added 15. Harvest Christian’s next game will be Feb. 21 in Lexington, Ky. The box score will be posted in a later edition of the Daily Times.
