Richard Cantwell, 87
Richard A. Cantwell, 87, of Dublin, Ohio, a former resident of Rosemount, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at a Dublin Hospital. He was born July 25, 1925, in Norfolk, Va., a son of the late Leslie Cantwell and Bertha Smith Cantwell. Richard was retired from the N& W Railroad and Laborer’s Local #83, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Mark Cantwell and wife Rose of Hilliard; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Christian, Trevor, Devon, Andrew, Tim, Aaron, Brooke and Angie; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Cantwell and a daughter, Connie Lacy.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Gary Heimbach officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military rites by James Dickey Post #23 American Legion. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
