Ky. man arrested on drug-related charges

FLATWOODS, Ky. — A Flatwoods, Ky., man was arrested this week after reportedly telling neighbors that he was on acid.

According to the Fivco Area Drug Enforcement (FADE) Task Force, the Flatwoods, Ky., Police Department received a complaint at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday of a subject running around the neighborhood with no shirt or shoes, who had reportedly told neighbors he had been taking acid.

Police located the man, identified as Tyler Norkett of Flatwoods, and was given consent to search Norkett’s residence before he was transported by ambulance to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital for examination.

Upon entering the residence, officers found three male subjects and two female subjects in the residence, and oxycodone pills, marijuana, and other paraphernalia.

Norkett was cited for public intoxication and another female, Joli Thomas of Flatwoods, was arrested at the residence on an unrelated warrant. The investigation in ongoing and further charges may be pending.

The FADE Task Force is made up of officers from the Flatwoods, Olive Hill, Raceland, Vanceburg and Russell Police Departments, and governed by a board of directors consisting of the chiefs, sheriffs, mayors and judges executive of those agencies, along with the county and commonwealth attorneys of the jurisdictions within the FADE Task Force.
