Ora Pennington, 84
Ora Pennington, 84, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Elliott Co., Ky. to John and Martha Pennington. He is a veteran of the US Army, and employee of AK Steel. Mr. Pennington was a member of Meade Station Church of God, and American Legion Clarence Fields Post No. 76.
Surviving are three sons, Jonnie Pennington, of Ashland, Ky.; Donald (Deanna) Pennington of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; Kenneth (Patricia) Pennington of Lexington, Ky; five grandchildren, Roger, Tracy, Heather, Kelli Anne, and Kendall Pennington.
He is preceded in death by his wife Anna Mae Keaton, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland, Ky., with Pastor Robert Jordan officiating. Interment is in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Lazear Funeral Home.
