Roy E. Crawford, 78, of Sciotodale, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at SOMC Hospice.

He was born May 7, 1930, in Vanceburg, Ky., a son of the late Richard Crawford and Lula Pressley Crawford. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are two sons, Roy Crawford Jr. and wife Barbara of Scottown, Ohio, and David Crawford and wife Robbi of London, Ohio; one daughter, Debra Chamblin of London, Ohio; one sister, Anna Louise Lawwill of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Doug Chamblin.

A memorial service will be held at Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church at a later date, with Pastor Aaron Reed officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.
