Virgil Blevins, 69
Virgil Elwood Blevins, 69, of South Webster died Dec. 18, 2012, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Franklin Furnace to the late James Everett Blevins and Julia Russell Blevins. He was a self employed logger.
He is survived by three sons, Raymond Blevins, Robert Blevins and Tim Blevins, five daughters, Julie Armstrong, Bonnie Blevins, Shonda Danner, Connie Blevins and Rosie Ghee, four brothers, David Blevins, Leroy Blevins, Paul Blevins and Larry Blevins, five sisters, Wanda Welch, Claris Blackburn, Marie Russell, Elizabeth Sperry and Pam Murphy, 25 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is Elsie White-Blevins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Virgil Blevins, Jr, and Richard Blevins, one daughter, Lorie Blevins and one sister, Mary McKenny.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Leroy Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Junior Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
