Rhyanna Day’s 17 points along with Carson Roney’s 15 helped visiting Eastern to a 68-63 win over Symmes Valley.
The Eagles were 21-of-32 from the free throw line in the win while the Vikings were 13-of-24 from the charity stripe. Gracie Waddell was one of three Symmes Valley players in double figures as she led the team with 13. Kalli Hunt’s 12 and Hannah Maynard’s 10 were the other scores in double digits.
Brittany Mounts had 11 and Chandler Brown finished with 10 in the victory. Eastern hosts Northwest Saturday and the Vikings will try to regroup Monday when they travel to New Boston.

Western (3-2, 2-2) remained a game back of the SOC I lead with a 50-39 win over visiting New Boston (1-3, 1-3). Statistics were unavailable at time of online publication.
The Indians travel next Thursday to Symmes Valley while the Tigers will take their cracks at the Vikings in Monday’s home contest.
