“We had a gentleman who was at the Party Time Bar on Feb. 8. While he was at the bar his wallet came up missing,” Portsmouth Police Detective Andrew Dawes said. “He contacted the bank and found out his card had been used 14 times in a 15-minute period at Speedway, at Gallia and Kendall in Portsmouth.”
Dawes said the person was only able to obtain cash on three of the transactions.
“By the time that they had used the card and the victim found out it was missing, he called and canceled, and they (credit card company) shut it down,” Dawes said. “They took out about $140.”
Dawes said a lot of people have indicated they recognize the woman, but they have not been able to identify her.
“Anyone who can identify her can call the detective bureau at (740) 354-1600, or dispatch at (740) 353-410,” Dawes said. “They can leave a message for me. They don’t have to give a name. All we’re looking for is (the suspect’s) name and address — something to go on.”
