The family of Clyde Luther Morris has entrusted the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with his funeral arrangements. A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Morris will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Funeral Home, with Gary Heimbach and Bob Jones officiating, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with visitation Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Mr. Morris, 89, of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Wurtland, Ky., a son of the late John Luther Morris and Cora Elizabeth Newman Morris. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, retired from the former Empire Detroit Steel and the Copeland Corporation, and was a self-employed Carpenter. He was married Feb. 7, 1945, in Ironton, to Nina Mae Meenach Morris, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Linda Bauer, and husband Paul, of Wheelersburg; his daughter in law, Barbara Morris, of Franklin Furnace; one sister, Goldie Tomlin, of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Morris, and four brothers and three sisters.
