Bernice Brown, 85

Bernice Pauline Brown, age 85, of Oberlin, Ohio, formerly of McDermott, Ohio died 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in Oberlin. She was born May 12, 1927, in Blue Creek, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Hildra Hayslip Martin. On June 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Ollie F. Brown who preceded her in death, Sept. 8, 2003. She is survived by two sons, Robert L. Brown of Lorain, Ohio and Jerry R. Brown of Marion, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two brothers, Donald Martin of McDermott, Ohio, and Larry Martin of Lucasville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth R. Brown, one brother, Charles Ray Martin, and one sister, Betty Hobes. Bernice was a member of the Beech Fork Church.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Beech Fork Church with Pastor Debbie Baer officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Otway, and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
