James Lemaster, 74
James H. “Jim” Lemaster, 74, of Coal Grove, Ohio, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Ky. He was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the son of the late Raymond and Maude Spriggs Lemaster. He was the founder and owner of Giovanni’s Restaurants, a member of the Western Sun Masonic Lodge No. 0091 in Wheelersburg, Ohio, attended the First Baptist Church in Estero, Fla., and was a peacetime Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Lemaster, Vernon Lemaster and Gerald Lemaster.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Grant Lemaster of Coal Grove, Ohio, one daughter, Vicky Barrett and her husband Rick of Coal Grove, Ohio; one son, Tom Lemaster and his wife Karen of Coal grove, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Sue Wright of Hiliard, Ohio and Helen Percell of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one brother, Eugene Lemaster of Harrow, Canada; two grandchildren, T.J. Barrett and Trevor Barrett; two step-grandchildren, Zach Barret and Zach Gebhardt; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Beals officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be: T. J. Barrett, Trevor Barett, Gary Salyer, John Suitor, Rick Barrett and Dave Grant. Honorary pallbearers will be: Doliver Stevenson, Ralph Oursler and Sam Triplett.
