Clay sweeps Manchester, advances to districts

Marta Tomasi and Katie Redding each had 13 points as No. 2 Clay defeated No. 7 Manchester in straight sets Thursday to advance to the Division IV Southeast District Volleyball tournament.

Of Tomasi’s 13 points, seven of them came from aces. She also recorded 11 kills.

Gabby Hickman added 21 assists in the victory. The Panthers travel next week to Jackson and will No. 3 Waterford, which took care of No. 6 South Gallia in four sets.
