Host Wheelersburg improved to 6-4 on the season and 5-2 in SOC II play with a three-set sweep Tuesday over Northwest.

Fay Proehl and Maggie Stegman led the Pirates with 11 kills each. Justice Silvey finished with 13 digs and Hannah Duckworth recorded 32 assists.

Wheelersburg will continue its homestand Thursday when Waverly comes into town.

Notre Dame def. Symmes Valley 25-19, 25-22, 25-15

Andrea Marchyn recorded 24 points and 12 digs as visiting Notre Dame wrapped up the first half of its SOC I slate with a three-set sweep of Symmes Valley.

Libby Welsh and Olivia Nelson each finished with nine kills and Raigan Sammons contributed with 18 assists for the Titans. Notre Dame (11-2, 5-2) hosts Ironton St. Joseph Wednesday.

Joe Payton scored a pair of goals in the second half as visiting Ironton St. Joseph defeated Clay 3-0.

The Panthers travel Thursday to Valley.
