“We are investing in Portsmouth and we’re going to continue to do so,” Tom Dearing, Director of Communications and Marketing for King’s Daughters Medical Center said Monday morning.

Dearing was asked by the Portsmouth Daily Times about the numerous properties purchased over the last several years by Ashland Hospital Corporation.

Records at the Scioto County Auditor’s office show the following properties purchased in 2012 by Ashland Hospital Corporation (King’s Daughters): 0 Argonne (Parcel ID 290692000 for $20,000); 0 Argonne (Parcel ID 290130000 for $40,000); 2011 Argonne ($60,000); 2015 Argonne ($79,000); 2016 Argonne ($70,000); 2017 Argonne ($50,000); 2019 Argonne ($125,000); 2020 Argonne ($120,000); 2021 Argonne ($39,000); 2023 Argonne ($125,000); 2025 Argonne ($20,000); 2029 Argonne ($70,000); 2030 Argonne ($39,000); 2101 Argonne ($70,000) and 2105 Argonne ($70,000). The records show the properties were purchased from individuals through TPA Land Company, a property acquisition company. The Auditor’s transfer history shows a total of 26 parcels of property have been purchased by King’s Daughters since 2007.

Dearing said the company is keeping the wraps on their plans for the time being but said it wouldn’t be long before those plans would be make public.

“I can tell you our new expansion will open in February of 2013,” Dearing said. “We opened our Portsmouth facility in 2007 and since then it has grown. We’ve added a third floor that opened up earlier this year. All of the expansion that is going on there wouldn’t be happening if the people of Portsmouth and Scioto County weren’t coming there. We’re very happy about it.”

Hopefully, this one will not also be banished from the land by the M & M MEGO's?

Emporium (A San Fran Johnson term and for Ptown, Bazaar or Flea Market would be more ap-ro-pos, not for the professional honesty with integrity KD's),

If it's needed, KD's will probably spring for the TCD's in compliance with the OMUTCD, and with Experience and Registered Professional Traffic Engineers doing the design and installation, etc. because they are Top Shelf Administrators and managers, unlike the leaders in Scioto County sucking off of and on the Teats of the Public Dole. And that's not pineapples.

Nice try Empor, who were you before on here, hah.

Again, hopefully the M & M EMEGO's are not spreading like the Blob, or dribble ..... and the delete key will be applied to this post like the other one on this thread. We will see. EMEGO's

"God will get M & M Messerly for that, betcha ya!!

Well, if the Argonne-area citizens aren't important enough to get a long needed traffic light for safe access to Scioto Trail, I am sure KDMC will get one.
