Margie Bradshaw, 89, of Lucasville, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at SOMC Hospice.
She was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Morgan Township, Ohio a daughter of the late Arthur and Verna Shelpman.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Margie was a member of the Lucasville Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Gideon’s Auxiliary, and a former Cub Scout and Girls Scout leader.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Morton Bradshaw, who she married Aug. 1, 1940, in Greenup, Ky,; one son, Dennis (Joyce) Bradshaw of Greencastle, Ind.; one daughter Susie (Jerry) Morland of Pompano Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren Amy (Jamie) Shears, Daniella (Brandon) Powell, Danny (Amy) Bradshaw, and Matthew Blackburn; five great grandchildren Isaac, Micah, Naomi, Brendon, and Daniel; one great great granddaughter Layleh Copley; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren in Greencastle, Ind.
Margie was also preceded in death by Charles and Ella Shelpman Koch who reared her; four brothers Ray, Clay, Pearl, and Louis Shelpman; three sisters Daisy, Helen, and Elizabeth; a niece and nephew who she was raised with as her brother and sister, Sumner Koch and Lola Elliott.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Rev. John Gowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday and an hour before the funeral Monday.
