Walter Young, 55

Walter Jerome Young, 55, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at the Ohio State University Hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1957, in Portsmouth, to Andrea Camille Saunders Young of Portsmouth, and the late Walter E. Young.

He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by four brothers, Lawrence Nelson of Ironton, Russell Young of Spartanburg, S.C., Brett Young of Lynwood, Ill., Robert Aaron Young of Burlington; six sisters, Loretta Vinson of Ironton, Victoria Zimmerman of Columbus, Rosalind Dere of Columbus, Saundra Clark of Spartanburg, Natasha Fisher of Columbus, Christy Back of Portsmouth; an uncle, Gregory Saunders of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Green Baptist Church Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Parker officiating.
