Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini announces that on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at about 8:45 a.m., members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, which consists of Narcotics Detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, the Portsmouth Police Department, and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located at 17 Oak St., in Lucasville.
According to Donini, Task Force detectives arrested Patrick Joseph Rauck, age 27; Cara R. Anderson, age 28; and James R. Liles, age 41, all of which were living at that residence. Upon a search of the residence, detectives seized $1,900 cash, drug paraphernalia, and empty prescription bottles for Oxycodone pills, which had been filled in the state of Florida as recently as Aug. 21.
Rauck, Anderson, and Liles were charged with trafficking in Oxycodone, a felony of the first degree, and placed in the Scioto County Jail. Rauck also had several outstanding bench warrants for his arrest, which had been issued by Portsmouth Municipal Court. Donini said Task Force detectives had been conducting a drug trafficking investigation involving Rauck, Anderson, and Liles for several weeks.
Rauck is being held on a $77,000 bond, Anderson is being held on a $70,000 bond, and Liles is being held on a holder placed by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.
The case against Rauck, Anderson, and Liles will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of additional drug-related criminal charges.
