Wine tasting is canceled

A homemade wine tasting sponsored by C and L. Transportation Fund Inc., a 501-(C) charity, scheduled for Saturday at the Russell D. Williams Post American Legion, 950 Gallia St., has been canceled.

Enrollment period is open

The Scioto County Family and Children First Council is in its open enrollment period. The Scioto County Family and Children First Council is a collaborative body of public and private partnerships charged with ensuring that children and families of Scioto County receive coordinated, family-centered, family-focused services. The Council meets monthly at 1:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the South Central Educational Service Center. All meetings are open to the public.

If you or your organization has a mission related to serving the children and families of Scioto County, or you are a parent of a child who has received services from one or more social service systems; you are welcome to submit a letter of application to the Council. Application letters are due to the Scioto County Family and Children First Council Office by 4 p.m. March 2.

New members will be voted on at the March 9 meeting. Letters should be addressed to Scioto County Family and Children First Council, New Membership, 411 Court St., Room 109, Portsmouth, OH 45662; Attention: Lisa Wiltshire, chairman.

Health fair is rescheduled

The community health fair, sponsored by the Oak Hill Public Library and Holzer Medical Center-Jackson, planned for March 2 has been rescheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. March 16 at the Oak Hill Public Library, 226 Front St, Oak Hill.
