Thefts continue to be the leading method for garnering money to purchase illegal drugs in the area. Manhole covers were removed from both the 100 block and the 200 block of Moulton Place in Lucasville, and according to the Scioto County Sheriff”s report, were taken to a junk yard in Pike County and sold.

Another catalytic converter, valued at $350 was cut from a vehicle on Dogwood Ridge in Wheelersburg, while four guns were stolen from a residence on Shepherd Fork Road in West Portsmouth. Taken in the entry were a Remington 12 gauge shotgun, valued at $600; a Winchester .22 caliber rifle, valued at $200; a Winchester 30-30 lever-action rifle, valued at $600 and a .357 caliber revolver, also valued at $600.
