Daniel Heffner’s round of 41 at the Shawnee Golf Course was the low round at Tuesday’s quad match and helped Waverly capture the match with a team score of 185, 13 shots clear of second-place West.

Valley’s Darby High and the Senators’ Todd Galloway each shot 43 to lead their respective clubs. Minford’s Matt Parker was the low score with a 48 as the Falcons finished with a 211.

All four teams will play in Thursday’s SOC II Preview at Dogwood Hills.

‘Burg wins Tuesday match at Hilltop

Wheelersburg captured Tuesday’s match at Hilltop Golf Course at Manchester, thanks to a 37 shot by Mitchell McFarland who finished as the match co-medalist.

The Pirates finished with a 164, nearly 20 shots in front of second place Whiteoak. Wheelersburg plays in Thursday’s SOC II Preview at Dogwood Hills.

Austin Stevenson shot a season-best 39 for the Pirates.

Jeeps ground Falcons

Host South Webster used two first half goals to open its season with a 2-0 victory over Minford.

Denver Fuller and Derek Rowe each scored for the Jeeps, who travel Saturday night to Athens. Lance Swords recorded seven saves in the shutout.

Dakota McGraw stopped five shots in the loss. The Falcons take on Wheelersburg Thursday.

Valley stays undefeated

Valley improved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-2 win over visiting Notre Dame Tuesday night.

The Lady Titans, who have lost at least two matches because of forfeits, were forced to concede the third singles match to the Lady Indians. Valley travels Thursday to Wheelersburg.
