The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one Lucasville woman and identified two more suspects, following a breaking and entering earlier this week.

According to Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini, his office responded to a 911 call from a concerned citizen on Aug. 17 that an abandoned house located at 93C Isaac Rickeu Road in Lucasville was being broken into by unknown suspects, whom were still inside the house. Deputies and detectives responded to the scene and the suspects fled on foot into the wooded area behind the home when they saw officers approaching. Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol also assisted.

Through their investigation, one woman was arrested — Cherina Osborne, 26, of Lucasville — and charged with breaking and entering and taken to the Scioto County Jail on $2,500 bond. Two others have been identified as Cassie Jordan of Pike County and Joe Davis of Lucasville.

The house had been abandoned after a fire, and Donini said the suspects were there to take electrical wire and other metals to scrap. There were piles of copper wire taken from the residence and placed by the suspect’s vehicle.

Donini said more charges will be presented to the Scioto County grand jury, and asks anyone with information about this case to contact Det. Denver Triggs at 740-355-8245. All calls, he said, will be kept confidential.
