Portsmouth ended defending SEOAL champion Gallia Academy’s home winning streak Friday at the Cliffside Golf Club thanks to a tiebreaker.

Drew Miller, who led the Trojans with a 38, turned in a better score as the fifth golfer over the Blue Devils’ Bruce Moreaux’s 43. The two teams each reocorded a 173 with their top four golfers, thus leading to the tiebreak.

Gallia Academy’s Rob Canady was the medalist of the dual, carding a 37. The last loss for the Blue Devils at Cliffside came in 2010.

Portsmouth returns to the links for competition Monday at the Logan Elm Invitational.
