Zach Jackson’s 40 Tuesday at Shawnee Golf Course led Clay to a team-low 179, besting Minford’s 214 and Valley’s 216.

It was the second-straight day of golf for the Panthers, who finished sixth in yesterday’s Chillicothe Huntington Invitational with a score of 385 while Waverly was fifth, finishing with a total of 383. Jackson was the low scorer for Clay during the 18-hole event, shooting a 91 on the day.

The Panthers will be a part of a large group of teams today ascending onto the Elks Country Club for the Portsmouth Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 9 a.m.

Girls Tennis

A second doubles forefit was the difference Tuesday as Portsmouth defeated Notre Dame 3-2.

Jessica Schmidt and Katie O’Neill each posted singles wins for the Lady Titans while Alex Scott recorded the lone Lady Trojan singles win. In first doubles, the Portsmouth combination of Sarah and Allison Raies evened the match at two apiece and Notre Dame was forced to concede the win with the second doubles result.
