Lois Meenach Barker, 77, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born June 11, 1931, in Carter, Ky., to Virgil and Carrie Justice Meenach who preceded her in death. On April 7, 1951, she married Harold L. “Jerry” Barker, who died Oct. 1, 2003. Mrs. Barker was retired from Elder-Beerman. She was a member of the Xenia Nazarene Church. She loved her church and her Sunday school class. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Survivors include a son, Steven D. (Susan) Barker of Lima; two grandchildren, Stephanie C. Barker of Upper Sandusky and Sean S. Barker of Lima; four brothers, Hayden Meenach of Greenup, Ky., Lowell (Darlene) Meenach and Wayne Meenach of South Shore, Ky., and Ray (Kathy) Meenach of Wheelersburg; a sister, Helen Meenach of Englewood; and eight nieces and nephews.

Rejoice with us that Mom and Dad are at last reunited in Heaven.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Joe Saunders officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion Cemetery at South Shore, Ky.
