The Daily Times would like to apologize for errors in the August 8 edition of the sports section. The article “OHSAA spokesman does not believe split will come” incorrectly identified Sciotoville East Schools as being a private school system.
As a community school that does not charge students tuition and receives state funding, East does not fall under the label of private. As such, only two schools in the Southeastern District of the OHSAA fall under the identification of private, Ironton St. Joseph and Portsmouth Notre Dame.
