Opal I. Hoyme, 88

Opal Irene Hoyme, 88, of Minford, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born July 30, 1924, in Magoffin Co., Ky., she was the daughter of the late Henry Parker and Hester Conley, she was a former employee of Williams Shoe Manufacturing and attended Rubyville Community Church.

She is survived by one son, James (Kim) Hoyme of McDermott; one daughter, Elizabeth (Doug) Zeller of Kansas; six grandchildren, Travis (Katey) Hoyme of Portsmouth, Brandon Hoyme of Portsmouth, Hannah Hoyme of Friendship, Adam (Leigha) Thornton of Kansas, Jenni (Joe) Fowler of Kentucky and Sarah Wood of Kansas and three great grandchildren, Gavin Thornton, Gracie Fowler, Kinley Hoyme.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hoyme on April 5, 1998, whom she married Nov. 24, 1954; one daughter, Julie Ann Hoyme; one brother, Russell Conley and two sisters, Lucille Preston and Wilma Immerfall.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thurssday.
