Recently, Mitt Romney appeared before the Veterans of Foreign Wars to supposedly lay out his vision on U.S. foreign policy. But, instead of laying out a plan to make America more secure, and support our veterans, Romney distorted President Obama’s record on veterans and military affairs.
President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq and is beginning to bring our troops home from Afghanistan. Because of his leadership, al-Qaeda is weaker than at any point since 9/11. More al-Qaeda terrorists have been killed or captured than at any point since those attacks.
Yet, Mitt Romney accuses the President of engaging in “appeasement” with our enemies. Perhaps Romney should ask Osama Bin Laden if he feels the same way.
On veterans’ issues, the Presidents record is unparalleled. The President passed two tax credits that encourage businesses to hire unemployed and disabled veterans, made great investments in the VA and is helping more and more veterans go to college for free by improving the Post-9/11 GI Bill – just to name a few.
Compare this to Mitt Romney who as Governor cut veterans’ programs by hundreds of thousands of dollars just his first month, and calls the Congressional Republican budget “marvelous” even though it would slash veterans’ benefits by $11 billion.
President Obama is the best fit to continue serving our needs as veterans and proud members of military families – he deserves four more years.

want to blame someone for unemployment, COL, the national debt and low moral, blame the ones who caused it: Mr. Bush Jr. and his cronies who let the mortgage investers sell worthless mortgages and then bet on them to fail, so they could make more money. Read the facts, not hearsay.
All they do is bash our sitting President in Adhominemism when their only policy is more money for the 1%, The Neo-Fat Cats. And smaller government cutting out the poor, elderly and infirmed. Their Health Policy is die early and quickly. And they are the Religious Right,
