When we speak of values in todays world, it seems very different from the time I was Young. On occasion however, I am extremely pleased to witness a throwback to the So called good old days.

I received a video on the Internet from one of my friends and it showed groups of our service People gathered together and singing the anthems of their branch of service.it certainly brought Tears to my eyes as they sang with a pride we seldom witness these days. These Young people who may lay down their life for you and I are certain in contrast to those who claim our nation Is at fault in so many ways. From the halls of Montezuma to the shorts of Tripoli, the caissons Go rolling along, off we go into the wild blue younger. Spirited songs and ending with ” God Bless America” They understand what this nation is about. ” They Get It “

I could not help but recall Mitch McConnell, minority Republican senator who stated on President Obama’s election night ” I will spend the next four years doing everything I can to make Him a one term President.” And, he has done just that as our legislative branch is totally lost in Politics at the cost of the American people.

Watching our service people and remembering the great pride we had in our nation During the 2nd World War, I would like to say to Mitch McConnell at the Tea party group Who presently hold the Congressional House hostage. We will overcome, Yes, We will not Only survive your politics, but, we will return to be the shining light on the hill of freedom. We Will prevail

In closing, I believe God loved all nations equally and all people the same. I do not believe That God loves America more than any other. I do believe our nation was founded on a form of Government which certainly has been the envy of all nations. That success may well cause one to Suggest it is God who smiles fairly on us. In fact, it is our love of God and our history of working together for the common good that graces our Nation. Having so stated. It remains for our elected Officials of both parties to return to mutual cooperation for the good of our Nation. For as the Words of the song echo ” Land that I love, stand beside her and guide her through the night a Light from above.”That light should be burning in the hearts of our legislature as they abandon Partisan ways and seek compromise in National leadership.

God Bless our Nation’s Values.

Oh Please. I mean PLEASE. Initially, I thought the above verbiage was a put-on. However, I can now see that the author is ACTUALLY serious or at least wants us to believe that he is serious.

From the outset it struck me as a bit odd that the author quotes only one side of the political spectrum in his pleas of “we need to work together”. Strange. I wonder if the author was equally concerned when such political luminaries as Nancy Pelosi, Little Dickie Durban, Teddy (Lover Boy) Kennedy, and Cynthia (Moonbat) McKinney were lambasting, on a daily basis, President Bush with such insightful comments such as “stupid”, “dumb”, “Fascist”, and the ever popular, “Nazi”. Somehow, I doubt it.

Please spare us the hypocritical handwringing and faux patriotism that is trotted out only when your own political party is being lambasted. So, pardon me if I don’t get tears in my eyes at this drivel.

“…Our Nation’s Values…”? Somehow, I wonder if the author has a clue of what they are.
