Green High School Band is sponsoring different fundraisers between now and Sept. 1, 2012, to help the school raise money for its final band uniform payment and also to raise money for the band’s Spring Trip.
Members of the band are selling tickets for their first-ever 50/50 Club.
“The club is something we are trying for the first time this year in hopes of it being a major hit! We are selling tickets to be a member of this Club that will last from September 2012 to May 2013. We will be drawing a ticket out two times per month and whichever ticket number is drawn out will win up to $200,” said Band Director Adam Phillips.
The band will host a drawing at both the Green Winter Concert and the Green Spring Concert, where will give away an even larger amount at those two drawings. The tickets are $30 for the year and are not limited on the number of times a person can win.
“We currently have 355 tickets made and ready to sell! If we are able to sell all of those tickets, we will be able to give out $5,325 in winnings throughout the year, so obviously the more tickets we sell — the higher the winnings will be,” Phillips said.
The band is also selling Little Caesar’s Pizza Kits, and Spirit Cups — which can be seen online at SpiritCups.com. The Spirit Cups come in packs of four for $15, and can be ordered for almost any NFL, MLB, or College Team. The NFL cups are also available in pink to support breast cancer. Along with those teams, cups are available for the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy, as well as Special Edition Cups for this year only which include the U.K. National Champions Cup, New York Giants 2011 Super Bowl Cup, St. Louis Cardinals 2011 World Series Cup, University of Alabama 2011 National Champions Cup, and the Boston Red Sox Fenway Park 100th Anniversary Cup.
Anyone interested in purchasing any of the above items should contact either a band member or call Phillips at the school at 740-354-9150, ext. 3109, or e-mail adam.phillips@green.k12.oh.us.
