Basil Greene, 55

Basil F. Greene, 55, of Chillicothe, died, Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at his residence. He was born Sept. 29, 1956, in San Diego, Calif., a son of the late Harry Greene, Sr., and Darlene Bryant Greene of Portsmouth. Basil is also survived by his daughter, Sarah Greene; two brothers, Harry Greene, Jr. and Bobby Greene; two sisters, Renee Greene and Teresa Messer; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Ellis Greene. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at D.W.
