Mildred Lemon, 87

Mildred Frances Lemon, 87, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at home. She was June 16, 1925, in Lenexa, Kan., a daughter of the late Matthew Daniel Nelson and Anna Ryygard Nelson. She was a former Porter Township Clerk, a Real Estate Agent for Pete Tallerico, a Controller for Strohsnyder Hardware in Bethesda, Md., and a member of Sunshine Church of Christ. She was married July 6, 1946, in Lenexa, Kan., to Donald W. Lemon, Sr, who preceded her in death July 26, 2005. She is survived by three sons, Donald W. Lemon, Jr and wife Bobi, of West Union; Michael A. Lemon and wife Cheryl, of Wheelersburg; Jeffery D. Lemon and wife Dawn, of Frederick, Md; three daughters, Anna R. Gampp, of Portsmouth; Ellen J. Lemon, of Wheelersburg; Donna F. Lemon, of Germantown, Md; one sister, Henrietta Elliott, of St. Petersburg, Fla; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Herman Nelson, and four sisters, Helen Nelson, Margarite Streeper, Tillie Daubs and Betty Smith. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford with Steve Miller officiating, with interment at Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
