WAVERLY — The Past TV Network (PTVN) ParaCon 2012, scheduled for July 28-29 in Waverly, is expected be the largest paranormal event ever held in Ohio and is now in the top three largest paranormal events in the USA in 2012.

“You will be able to experience two days of all the paranormal you could ever imagine at the famous Haunted Emmitt House,” according to the PTVN ParaCon website. “You will have the opportunity to meet and talk to some the of most recognized names and celebrities from the paranormal field on both July 28 & 29, 2012.”

PTVN ParaCon is billing the weekend as a “once and a life time chance to meet all these people under one roof because the PTVN ParaCon moves to Orlando, FL in 2013.”

The event is to be held at the “famous haunted” Emmitt House located at 123 North Market St. in Downtown Waverly.

Mel Grossman, a volunteer with the Pike County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said PTVNParaCon is the Past TV network, which has scheduled the event from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday (July 28), 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday (July 29).

“They are going to occupy both floors of the Emmitt House. They will have 100 vendors booths inside,” Grossman said. “Our Visitors Bureau has been given the opportunity to have outdoor booths out on Market Street. They have guest speakers, seminars, Q&A, raffles, food, drinks, music, lots of shopping, obviously.”

“Our interest as a Visitors Bureau is to let vendors in the Portsmouth area and elsewhere know that we do have booth space available outside, along Market Street,” Grossman said. “And that booth space is available for $10. Anybody who wants an application, we can fire one out to them by email, or they can pick them up here at our Visitors Bureau office.”

CVB can be reached at 740-947-9650, or by e-mail at piketravel@yahoo.com.

“They have two ghost hunts,” Grossman said. “The first is on Friday (July 27) night prior to the event, $50 a ticket. The second is Saturday (July 28). Other than the ghost hunt fee there is a $20 entry fee each day, or $30 for the weekend. In other words, in order to go into the Emmitt House during this paranormal event, you have to buy a ticket. If you buy an entry fee ticket at the door, it is $25.”

Grossman said advance tickets are available online at www.ptvnparacon.com.

Cannot pass this up? I do not follow this movement and they will visit me after this is posted.

Ghost-busters come to SE Ohio. Where will thy put the vault with all that they catch, they missed their timing for when that vault blows up like in Ghost-busters, it could have been on the 4th. of July and saved some fireworks money. Far Out Man!
