Curtis, 70th Anniversary

Milford and Mary Curtis of West Portsmouth celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2012.

The couple was married on June 13, 1942, in Portsmouth, Ohio, but have been sweethearts from second grade.

Milford is the son of Garnet and Milford Curtis of New Boston, and Mary is the daughter of Winifred and John D. Mullins of West Portsmouth. Together they have two children — Suzette (Michael) Minton of Cincinnati, and Edwin (Sue Ann) Curtis of Georgetown, Ohio — six grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Milford, A Navy veteran of service in WWII in the Atlantic and Pacific retired from the Fernald Atomic plant near Cincinnati. Mary is a home maker.

They both loved to camp for years, and spent a number of their winters in Brooksville, Fla.
