Virginia Fitzgerald, 75

Virginia Ruth Holsinger Fitzgerald, 75, of Minford, formerly of Adams County, died Tuesday July 3, 2012, at SOMC Hospice. She was born May 31, 1937 in Adams County to the late Ed and Daisy Rodgers Holsinger.

Along with her parents Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Gene Fitzgerald who she married on April 5, 1953, a daughter Norma Gene Fitzgerald, three brothers; James, Robert and Billy Holsinger, and a sister Alice Bently.

Virginia is survived by three sons; Rex (Rosemary) Fitzgerald, Charlie (Tina) Fitzgerald and Larry (Audra) Fitzgerald all of Lucasville, four daughters; Rosie (Elbert) Nehus of West Union, Carol (Frank) Laxton of Minford, Betty (Delmar) Smith of West Union and Alice Storer of Celina, two brothers; Ronnie Holsinger of Portsmouth and Jackie Holsinger of Lucasville, a sister Margie Stevens of Stout, 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday July 5, 2012, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Junior Holsinger officiating and interment in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
