Charles James, 86

Charles Warren James, 86, of Washington Court House, formerly of Lucasville, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Court House Manor.

He was born April 15, 1926, in Carter Co., Ky., a son of the late Claby and Minnie Martin James.

Charles was a retired farmer and attended Rarden Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter Jennie Tranner of Washington Court House; two grandsons, Richard James and Travis Tranner; two great granddaughters Chelsey Nicole and Emma Lee; one brother Robert James of Lucasville and one sister Bertha James of Lucasville.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Faye James, Dec. 1, 2004; one brother Oleis James; and two sisters Jennie Cline and Lucy Marshall.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in Lucasville Cemetery with Bob Davis officiating. Friends may call from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
