Barbara Loraine Burchett, 75, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Born April 25, 1933, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Schulz Underwood and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her loving husband, Harold R. Burchett, whom she married June 16, 1951; two sons, Rick Burchett and his special friend Lela Dukes, and Jeffrey (Claudia) Burchett; two granddaughters, Stephanie Burchett and Sarah Burchett; and a grandson, Trent Burchett.

A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. No visitation will be observed.
