For the second time in three days, Post 23 and Post 124 met up in an American Legion contest.

Just like Tuesday’s encounter Post 23 took home the win, but with a bigger margin of victory. Tyler Sanford was a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, four runs batted in and two runs scored in a 25-2 decision to start the Gallipolis Tournament.

Derek Moore threw a complete game for his fourth win of the year. He allowed two runs (none earned), while striking out eight and walking one.

Post 23 returns to Gallipolis tonight to take on Meigs Post 128. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.

Post 23’s eight-game winning streak was snapped in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader at Ashland (Ky.) 76 before earning the split.
