Tri-State Junior Golf Tour visits the Elks

MCDERMOTT — The Tri-State Junior Golf Tour made their first local stop of the season at the Elks Country Club Monday.

A three-way tie between Darby High, Brandon Jones and Austin Stevenson at the top of the 16-18 Division highlighted Monday’s play.

High came away with the top spot via a playoff with Jones finishing second and Stevenson finishing third.

In the 13-15 Division, Shane Stavens came away with the low score of 76 out of the first flight of players.

In the 10-12 Division, Andy Michael shot a 41 through nine holes for the lowest score of the group.

After a hiatus, the tour will returning locally July 5 at Shawnee State Park Golf Course. It then travels to Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland on July 9. The tour visits Twin Solos in Lavalette on July 17 and wraps up at Guyan Golf and Country Club on July 27.
