PDT Sports Report

In his first game pitching since returning from vacation, Patrick Riehl spun a no-hitter as visiting Post 23 defeated Waverly Post 142 9-1 at Piketon High School.

Riehl struck out seven and walked five in the contest. The lone run was unearned in the fifth.

Brett Hood was 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk, a run batted in and two runs scored. Tyler Noel (2-for-3) and Alex Shears (1-for-3) recorded triples in the contest.

Post 23’s win streak grows to eight games and it could reach 10 games if they win two seven-inning contests today at Ashland (Ky.) Post 76. The winning streak started a week ago yesterday against the Sixers.
