Gregory Wells Nichols, 66, of Columbia Drive, Waverly, died 4:03 p.m. Friday at his home.
Greg was born January 5, 1946, in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Edgar B. Nichols and Audrey J. (Wells) Nichols. On June 23, 1967, he was united in marriage to Penny Ellen (Noel) Nichols, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2010.
Surviving are three sons, Rodney Edward Nichols and wife Traci of Hillsboro, Ohio, Ryan Charles Nichols and Aaron Lance Nichols and wife Aimee both of Waverly, Ohio; four grandchildren, Reese Jameson Nichols, Tanner Ryan Nichols, Benjamin Wells Nichols and Taylor Davis Nichols.
Greg was a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Sales Representative for Community Benefits, Piketon, Ohio; President of Pike County Chamber of Commerce and former President of Waverly Jaycees.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, in Waverly with Pastor Dale Reed, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
