Charlotte ”Parker” Beinkampen Smith, 92, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at River Bend House in Wheelersburg.
She was born December 31, 1919, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, to the late Bert and Bessie “Carrington” Parker Burgess. Charlotte was retired from the Williams Shoe Factory and was a member of Wheelersburg United Methodist Church. She was also a 29-year volunteer at SOMC and had 25 years of service with the Election Board.
She is survived by two daughters, Carlotta Fannin of Arlington, TX, Beth (Kent) Madden of Wheelersburg; two sons, Pete (Cyndi) Beinkampen of Louisville, KY, and Mike (Janet) Beinkampen of Clayton, OH; and fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Smith, whom she married July 3, 1958; a step-daughter, Sherry Bolander; two sisters, Hazel Hughes, and Daisy Parker; a brother, Essex Parker; and a great-grandson, Reece Sammons.
Services will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
