Sharon Maxine Oiler, age 69, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Edgewood Manor in Lucasville, Ohio. She was born Nov. 27, 1942, in Point Pleasant, W.Va., to the late Leland and Effie Short.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Bowman of Portsmouth, Judy (Mike) Carter of Oak Hill, Paula (Steve) Sapp of North Carolina, Margaret (Mark) Allard of South Webster, Danita Runyon and Paul (Sandy) Oiler Jr. of Chillicothe. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leda Lee of Glouster, Ohio, and Jean Ashmore of Lakeland, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul James Oiler, and two brothers, Alfred and Buster Short. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) of Oak Hill with Rev Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in C.M.
