American Legion Post #23 to Host Flag Disposal Ceremony

The American Legion, Post #23, 705 Court Street, Portsmouth, welcomes the public to their Flag Disposal Ceremony on Flag Day, Thursday, June 14, 2012. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and will be performed at the shelter building behind the Legion Post. Refreshments will be served, to include hamburgers and hot dogs, once the ceremony is completed. If you have any flags that are torn, ripped, or faded, you can drop the flag off at the Post or bring it to the ceremony. Contact 740-353-3030 for further information.

Valley Class of ‘62 Reunion

Valley High School Class of 1962 will be celebrate their 50th reunion on June 30. A luncheon has been planned at the Valley Township Hall from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The class will be honored at the Valley Alumni Banquet that night at Valley Middle School in Lucasville.
